It is scientifically proven that the child accrues knowledge right from his mother womb. The infant listens to tastes and feels whatever his mother does as a result of which he starts forming probable environment he or she may encounter when his date comes. When an infant is matured enough, he is capable of learning various mental, physical, social aspects of life which he accrues from his father or mother. So this really puts light on the fact that parents are your first teacher ever. When he or she reaches childhood he or she is ready to acquire formal book knowledge. Here comes a professional person who teaches those book knowledge, known as “teacher”. Teaches are just like an extension of one’s parents to help a child to grasp the knowledge which is required to survive or make a living. To bring up the complete development of an individual, active parental participation is essential and curtail in education. However, in today’s world, teachers are highly engaged in paperwork and documentation, that disconnects them from students and their parent. Parent Teachers Communication and Parental Engagement in Education is one of the essential factors in the student’s education.

Here are some points that parental engagement requires:

  • Always check on the child progress with the class progress.
  • Take participation of the topics covered in the class, by asking various questions on the topic.
  • Making sure whatever it takes to make a child attend the classes.
  • Encouraging them to take part in various school and interschool events, quizzes etc to expose them to a bigger world outside the books.
  • Keeping eye on friend circle. Friends can greatly influence child schooling habits.

Special education is also known as special needs education, aided education, exceptional education or Special Ed is the practice of educating students in a way that addresses their and needs. These are designed to help individuals with special needs. When teachers manage and track the special needs information about the students, it can be beneficial for parents to understand their child’s problems and needs. This will achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and in their community which may not be available if the student were only given access to a typical classroom education.
