A Teacher Wellness Program That Actually Worked – Leadership Matters

If you’re a teacher, the term “the light at the end of the tunnel” is too frequently quite descriptive regarding your mental and physical state as you approach the winter vacation. Since I have repeated this cycle for many years, I wanted to change my outlook — both personally and professionally. I was tired of being tired.

When scrolling through Instagram (I’m a sucker for teacher memes), I discovered this teacher wellness company called Leadership Matters.

Although they are a new company, the one thing that instantly caught my attention was their approach to supporting teachers. It wasn’t about coping with the inevitable pitfalls of the education system, but providing tactics to enrich your life and to recognize the challenges ahead. Not limited to the classroom either, I found action-oriented tips that actually worked in my personal life.

I know educational leadership/ wellness programs can be a hit or miss for some teachers, but I thought I would share this because I found some very useful tips that helped me (see below):

You deserve a break. Take 15 minutes and pamper yourself in a big or small way.
